How does your day compare?

One of the biggest questions that agents want to know the answer to, whether they are young or old, is how are the top agents spending their time? Now I have no idea of the specific activities you do, but I know what they are doing from a high level.
The first thing they are doing is non-stop prospecting. 
 
Every service-based industry needs to spend most of their time prospecting to keep the rest of their business running. They are meeting with prospects to sign them up. They are working with their old clients. They are keeping their marketing going in busy times and in slow times. 
 
The second thing they are doing is cultivating their client relationships. 
 
They are staying top of mind with their clients so that when they think of moving, they use that agent again. They are staying top of mind with their clients so that when a friend talks about moving, that agent gets the referral. 
The third thing they are doing is analyzing their business. 
They go over the last ten buyers they secured and look at what worked. 
They go over the last ten buyers they lost and look at what didn’t work. 
They go over the last ten listings they secured and look at what worked. 
They go over the last ten listings they lost and look at what didn’t work. 
They go over the last ten deals they signed and look at what worked. 
They go over the last ten deals they lost and look at what didn’t work. 
They go over the last ten marketing ideas they tried and found those that worked, and used them more. 
 
The goal of any successful business owner is not to worry about doing things right every time. It’s to spend more time doing the right things.  And it’s going to take time for you to find out what is the right thing for you.
So try something. Try everything.
Try things that others said failed for them because it might be your best tactic. Try things that others said was their best tactic, but understand that it might not work for you.
 
In doing so, you will find what works best for you and your business. Finding the right things will have an immense impact on your business.
